Smarter Systems
The Visual Nexus® Meeting Server or MCU ‘mixes’ endpoint video signals into a single compressed video tile for transmission of the meeting experience back to participants. This gives our solutions an unprecedented performance advantage and minimizes network bandwidth consumption. Other systems 'relay' the aggregate of all endpoint traffic resulting in significantly higher bandwidth consumption and costs, and additional deployment complexity for your organisation.
Advanced Video and Audio Quality
The Visual Nexus products we sell use state of the art video and audio codecs to produce exceptionally high video and audio quality even over low bandwidth networks. Easily scalable to high definition (HD) video, means that even dedicated video conference suites can be established using Nexus South solutions. Data compression rates are among the best in the world and high definition can be achieved with much less bandwidth than other systems require to achieve the same.
Uncompromising Security
Visual Nexus Secure Transport software ensures your virtual meeting data is transported securely across network boundaries and over public networks. Meeting data is protected with the AES encryption standard. Although we provide abundant application, data and document sharing capability, desktop sharing is not included as this presents obvious privacy and security issues. Inferior products may elevate desktop sharing as a feature but in fact it demonstrates a lack of committment to security and software development effort.
More Feature Rich
The Visual Nexus products are highly configurable to suit a wide range of virtual meeting applications and to fit the way you want to work. Meetings can be Open Forum or Moderated allocating a range of controls to a nominated Chairperson. Bandwidth policies can be applied at various levels and the reservation system can be used to book meeting rooms and schedule calendar events within user email profiles while some meeting rooms can be made 'Always Available'. And much, much more...
This means our solutions interoperate with legacy and standards based video conferencing suites giving us the ability to extend access to those systems to more users without them having to be in the video room. Also, Nexus South solutions can include gateways for integration with SIP, VoIP, PSTN and ISDN based communications systems.
Because the software endpoint is installed on user or room based computers, meeting participants are not confined to the constraints of a browser window, as they are with web conference systems. Multiple monitors can be used to share applications or documents, view other meeting participants or drag and drop windows as needed. User defined video layout is a breeze. The other advantage of client/server architecture is the high quality video and audio experiences delivered due to the power of personal computers.
